So... what is

Thought Work exactly?

Before we dive right in, let's begin here...

There are generally two schools of thought when it comes to thoughts. Pun intended.

 1... That we have no control over our thoughts. They exist entirely on their own at their own whim and we just have to muster through coping with them.

 2... That we have full control over our thoughts. We create them and therefore can simply destroy them. We are the master of our thoughts. <insert evil laugh>

However, what is true for all of us is neither of those, or perhaps a combination of both, depending on how you want to look at it.

We don't create our thoughts yet we have full control over the ones that we want to stick around.

Our thoughts are a bit like the ocean. Always present. Always moving. We can decide to jump in and play, have a look about, explore deeper, ride a wave, simply let it wash over our feet, or watch it from a distance.

It's our choice.

And that choice determines our reality.

Now, you may be saying, "That's great, but..."

And I get it, I do.

It seems like, "Your thoughts create your reality," is just another esoteric quote that makes it's rounds on Instagram.

But there's more to it, I pinky swear.

There is a bit of work that we have to do (thought work) - not unlike your current mindset work or personal development and awareness work - to get to a place where we're working right alongside our thoughts and mind rather than having them work against us - which is typically what happens.

And once you get there, it is the most liberating place.

No longer are you feeling like you're battling with your own thoughts.

No longer do you feel like you're having to force things, hustle, follow someone else's rules or guidebook.

You get to be you in the most amazingly connected and aligned way.

And you feel safe and secure being you in that way.

Amazing. Free. Abundant. Tranquil.

That is what I think of when I talk about the results that you get from thought work.

Amazing. Free. Abundant. Tranquil.

Now that we've covered that, let's jump right in to what thought work is and how it benefits you.

What thought work is...

  • Choosing which thoughts to hold on to and which ones to let fly away with the breeze;

  • Accepting that our experiences are created solely by our thoughts and learning how that has impacted our past and how we can cultivate that to create our future;

  • Awareness of our thoughts, i.e., no more auto-pilot running the show;

  • Learning how to manage our thoughts to create the feelings and energy that we want in any particular moment;

  • Understanding that our personal thoughts create our personal reality and that our reality is as unique as our thoughts;

  • Knowledge that there is NOT any one reality (see why above).

How thought work benefits your life...

  • Reduces stress, overwhelm, feelings of being burdened, and anxiety due to an over-active mind or from focusing too much on the past or the future. Also known as, being stuck in your head/mind or going down a rabbit hole;

  • Increases ease and flow in your days;

  • Makes riding the natural ups and downs of life easier - nothing seems too big or overwhelming to overcome;

  • Increases trust, confidence, and connection. Trust in yourself. Confidence in yourself and your abilities. A deeper connection to yourself, your intuition, your potential, and to others;

  • Increases clarity of purpose and goals.

It's mindset and so much more...
